Subject: Please read: Excel failed to open in Engagement
Importance: High
More people have experienced this Excel problem. CCH has
acknowledged it but no fix has been released yet since this is the Microsoft
Office behavior: Office disables the add-ins whenever the program crashed or
files are not closed properly.
Please also provide IT department more information when this
error occurred, such as Excel work paper is not closed properly, or when you
try to click on certain button or insert something…
This is the error message. Please read the workaround below.
Workaround:
- Click
the Microsoft Office Button
, click Excel
Options, and then click Add-Ins. - Click
Manage dropdown list, select disabled item, and click Go.
- Select
all items in the disabled dialog box and click Enable.
- Close
Excel Options then try to open Excel files in Engagement again.
