At Malone & Bailey, we predominantly serve small public companies that operate under Securities and Exchange Commission rules. The entrepreneurial needs of our clients are very different from large publicly traded organizations that have professional managers, big infrastructures, organizational hierarchies and sizeable budgets with which to manage their accounting processes. Our small public clients are risk takers who are running smaller, flat organizations with full focus on "making it." They typically do not have significant accounting departments and the owner/operators are almost always directly involved in the accounting and bookkeeping processes. Small public company audits require firms that focus on transactions auditing, versus the big firm "systems" auditing approach. Our entire team understands this important nuance and we're versed in the very detailed work of transactional auditing. We've specialized in helping small public companies because it's clear to us that there are few firms who understand them. Even the SEC has less experience with small publics than they do with the larger public organizations. At Malone & Bailey, we realize that the small public market is underserved, and perhaps, over-billed in the area of audit. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to be the market leader delivering high-quality small and mid-size public company audit and tax services. In addition to our public company clients, we also serve a number of privately held businesses. Most of these clients are in business for the long run and we're there to support them in their start-up infancy and as they grow. We act as advisors to these closely held business owners who frequently rely on us for guidance as they make key decisions. And, while our client relationships are important to us, we work hard to maintain the distance required to remain objective in our auditing—something of critical importance in this new age of enhanced public scrutiny and vigilance against fraud. Our clients rely on us to render objective opinions and identify areas of potential concern, duties which we take seriously. |
